One of my all time favorites! The special effects (for the time) are outstanding thanks to Ray Harryhausen’s vision. I loved the dinosaurs, the colossal ape King Kong, and the idea of an island hidden from the world.
The 2005 version by Perter Jackson deserves a special mention; visually stunning with plenty of action.
Other adaptations are worth a look, but don’t get your hopes up!
